The Blooming

Continuing her love affair with Gary Oldman and her love with the movies, Uma next made waves in Robin Hood (1991), Final Analysis (1992) and Jennifer Eight (1992). It was the beginning of big days for her when In Mad Dog and Glory (1993) she starred alongside Robert De Niro and Bill Murray. In between all these mega projects, she got a silly one too. This was Gus Van Sant's Even Cowgirls Get the Blues. Sadly the film was a misstep for her, being a critical and financial disappointment. Uma was even nominated for a Worst Actress Razzie. This was not a good period for her as during the same time, Uma and Gary's relationship started suffering because they were spending a lot of time apart from each other because of movie commitments. Uma was going through a rough and lean patch whereas rumours of heavy drinking by Gary Oldman had become the order of the day. By 1992 the couple divorced.
